Our Reflexions 2018 Speaker: Dr. Saravanan Kesavan

Nextenture is proud to announce its chosen speaker for Reflexions 2018: Dr. Saravanan Kesavan.  He will be speaking about the importance of operations management, effective scheduling and how services like Nextenture’s labor modeling coupled with the Reflexis ecosystem can innovate retail.
Dr. Kesavan’s research has appeared in both premier academic and practitioner journals, such as the Harvard Business Review and California Management Review. His research can also be found within the New York Times, The New Yorker and Forbes, among other media outlets.
For several years, Dr. Kesavan worked at i2 Technologies, where he helped clients deal with supply chain management issues. Dr. Kesavan has also worked with a number of companies, including Gap, USAA, Lowes, Belk, Texas Instruments and Kroger.
Before, he received his doctorate in technology and operations management from Harvard Business School. He also has a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, as well as a bachelor’s degree in engineering from IIT Madras in India.
Dr. Kesavan currently teaches retail and digital operations for MBA students at the Kenan-Flager Business school, where he has received the MBA Teaching All Star award eight times over the last eleven years. Just last year, he won the Weatherspoon Award for Teaching Excellence in the full-time MBA Program.
